Charlotte, NC (April 1, 2019) – OBey Foundation is thrilled to announce the appointment of our new member to its board, Tanya Jackson-Smith. “As we look ahead, Tanya is an outstanding addition to our Board. She’s been involved with OBey since the incubation stage and we are excited about the unique expertise she brings as we continue to evolve and lead the organization forward.” OBey Foundation Executive Director, Kojo Bey, says.
Tanya Jackson-Smith brings thirty-five years of Library Science experience – Public School Libraries, Corporate Libraries, and Public Libraries. Tanya is affiliated with the National Association of Black Storytellers in Baltimore, MD and The New Millennium Community Development Corporation in Mount Vernon, NY just to name a few.
The Board of Directors provides OBey Foundation with governance to steer the organization’s operations and ensure fiscal responsibility.
